Giggling into 2013 with Justin

Are you a fan of Justin Fletcher? Then you are in for a treat, as Justin's very first annual hits the shops this month. My guys and I were thrilled to receive Justin's Annual 2013 in the mail. I have written many times how much my family loves Justin, so we were delighted to see all our favourite characters which include Engelbert the dog and Ralph the car - joining Justin in this fabulous edition. It is truly giggle-tastic.

This annual is filled with puzzles, games, stories, jokes, stickers and colouring pages.

Like any two-year-old Eddie loves stickers, when he saw these two pages, he exclaimed "Wow, stickers!"

If you love colouring in, dots-to-dots, drawing and tracing, you won't be disappointed.

There are lots of jokes that would make you giggle like this one:

- Why did Justin throw the butter out of the window?
- He wanted to see the butterfly.

There is even a recipe for Justin's No-bake Chocolate Fridge Cake.
This is a fun educational book (kids will enjoy it so much, they won't even notice that they will learn things).

This Annual would be a great addition to a Christmas stocking for any Justin's fan.

A whole lot of smiles on a rainy day: Justin's Funny Faces Sticker Book (review & giveaway c/d 15 October 2012)

When Justin's Funny Faces Sticker book arrived the other day, I don't know who was more excited about it: Eddie or I. It couldn't have arrived at a better time: it was raining non-stop, Eddie was cranky, as he's got sniffles and I didn't want to take him out in his favourite garden. We've done painting and colouring, read a few books, but he wanted something new to discover.

Justin was just the right remedy for the miserable rainy day.

As I mentioned many times Justin is a big part of our life. My sons love his shows. And I think he is simply marvellous.
Justin Fletcher is a talented actor who has been working as children's presenter and voice over artist for the last fifteen years. He won a Bafta in 2008 for best Children's Television Presenter, and if it were in my power, I'd keep giving him Baftas every year.
In 2010 Something Special won the Bafta for best pre school programme and Justin won his second Bafta for best Children's Television Presenter.
He is very talented. Working with children who have special needs is not an easy task, but he is doing a great job. You can see how children respond to his jokes and kind words, how their shy smiles turn into wide grins.

Eddie calls him Tamba and every night when we go to bed, we go through the routine of saying "Papa is asleep, Sasha is alseep, Mr Tumble is asleep etc etc" to convince Eddie he should go to sleep as well.

The sticker book was a real godsend. It is a book with lots of stickers that you attach to empty faces. As stickers are reusable, you can move them around to create a totally hilarious effect. You clown could looke like a witch, and vice versa. Or do them as suggested at the beginning of the book, you can see all the images together on one page.

We loved the grumpy pirate and a funny clown, the smiley lion and the dreamy astronaut.

The Picasso-style lion above is Eddie's work. This book could be as educational as it is entertaining: just name all the facial features as you stick them on, or try putting them in the wrong order and ask your child to change them.

You will find Justin on the last page of the book, and he invites you to decorate him as you like. We thought we won't be too cruel to Justin and wouldn't add any witch's warts or an elephant's nose. I think he looks lovely.

This brilliant sticker book will be available on sale at all major book shops from 4 October. You can also preorder it from Amazon.

And if you love Justin as much as we do, keep your eyes open for The Official Justin Fletcher Annual 2013. I have seen it at Sainsbury's already and it looks very good.

I have a copy of Justin's Funny Faces sticker book to give away to one of my blog readers.

Justin Fletcher's new CD "Hands Up" (review)

When I read several mummy bloggers' reviews on the new Justin Fletcher's CD, I was dismayed to find out they were apprehensive to start with. How could they? It's Justin! The one and only, inimitable and unique, a hero of all families who have children with special needs.

First it was Sasha who learnt about Mr Tumble at school and started looking for his videos online, later after seeing how interested he is, I started buying DVDs.
I was really looking forward to listening to Justin's new album with my 19-months-old son. Eddie knows Justin Fletcher from the DVD collection that we have and loves his Nursery Rhymes so much that we put it on at least once a day. In fact, Eddie is watching Something Special right now, as I type.

The new album contains 20 songs, most of them are well known children's classic songs like "If you're happy", "The Hokey Cokey", "The Wheels on the Bus".
There are a couple of songs that we haven't heard before: "The Sailor's Lament" (this is a rather melancholic song, beautiful and even poignant if you think about it) and "Justin's Lullaby" (another lyrical piece, very peaceful and slightly philosophical).

The tunes are very upbeat, with a modern interpretation. Easy to listen to and very catchy. Justin's voice is immediatley recognisable. His charisma shines through his performance. The album starts with a cheerful dancing tune and ends with three calm songs.

We listened together with Eddie, we danced and laughed at ourselves. We whirled around enthusiastically, me wiggling my bum and Eddie laughing his socks off at Mum's dance.

This CD will make a lovely present to any pre-schooler. It is available from 5 March.

We love it!

Justin Fletcher's new single

I haven't been so excited by the release of a new single since my teens. Justin Fletcher is a big part of our lives. Even now, as I write, Eddie is watching Justin Fletcher's Let's Sing Nursery Rhymes. We first discovered Justin aka Mr Tumble a few years ago.
Sasha loves watching Mr Tumble DVDs and playing Mr Tumble matching games on CBeebies.
Something Special and Mr Tumble were created as a programme for special needs children, and it is indeed a very special programme that caters for children with special needs as well as the mainstream children. It is caring, educational and both inspired and inspirational. A Triple Hurrah for Mr Tumble!

Now the most lovable cheeky Justin is going to release a new single "Hands Up" on 20 November.

Justin has a brand new album out on 26th March 2012. The album features 20 classic children’s songs along with a few brand new songs – covering everything from The Teddy Bear’s Picnic, The Laughing Policeman to the brand new single Hands Up.

You can preview the video on Youtube.

(Shhh, don't tell anyone but Mummy thinks he is a hottie)

A great video that Eddie and I just watched together and were dancing to the rhythm.

You can follow Justin Fletcher on Facebook and Twitter.
