Hope you enjoyed my Valentine's giveaway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T&Cs:
The giveaway is open to the UK residents.
It will slightly differ from the December giveaway. You are invited to answer the questions and leave a comment for the day/ prize you really want, so let's say if you don't fancy a lipstick or cream, don't comment on that day.
The 1st prize winner will get all the prizes for the days they have commented. If they answered all 7 questions for all 7 days, they get 7 prizes. If they commented on 5 days or less, that will be the amount of prizes they will receive, and if there are prizes left, the next winner will be picked for the remaining prizes.
Hope it's not too confusing.
There will be a different question every day (a new question and photo of the gift will appear some time around 9am).
The giveaway will end on the 17th of January (last prize/question will be posted on the 16th). The winner will be chosen from all entries and contacted at once. If the winner doesn't respond in 3 days, I will redraw another winner as I want to make sure everything arrives well before Valentine's day.
I will do my best to wrap the gift in the bubble wrap etc, but if it arrives in pieces thanks to the Royal Mail, I won't be sending a replacement, as I don't have any spare cups (this will truly be my last cup).
This giveaway is not sponsored, I have bought most of the prizes or received as freebies.
If you are commenting as Anonymous, please leave your name in the comment and some means of contacting you, like your Twitter name.
That's it, folks!
Good luck!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many thanks to you all! I enjoyed reading all your comments. It's time to announce the winner as picked by my little man from the hat (as he cannot yet read, he's the most unbiased judge in our family):
Annmarie Burns
As the original winner didn't get in touch with me, and I couldn't contact her as she left no contact details, I had to redraw the winner (see the new winner announcement above).
You can email me at sasha1703@yahoo.com or get in touch on Facebook or twitter (@maximka25)
s you have left seven comments, you will receive all prizes.
i am romantic and i dont care what me and my husband do as long as we are together
ReplyDeleteSounds great - I am single so I would be winning for myself - any chance of a man up for grabs!?
ReplyDeleteHe he, no men in my giveaway, they're too tricky to post.
DeleteLOL I am quite fancying that Jessie Pavelka on Day Break at the moment!
DeleteEven though I am single, and quite unlucky in love, I have always been a romantic at heart. I am a real girl girl loving every thing pink and floral and have always loved the idea of being wined and dined and proposed to by a man down on one knee!
I am romantic but we don't spend money on gifts - more spending time together!
ReplyDeleteAshleigh @ashlallan

ReplyDeleteJulie Ward
I try to be romantic, usually fail though, if I had the money I would be the most romantic person ever, on Valentines Day only!
ReplyDeleteI'm off for a liver biopsy on Valentines day. I suppose I'm a bit romantic. I like to suprise with little gifts, even if it's only a choc or a scratch card.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitly a romantic at heart and both my husband and I love to put lots of effort into keeping the romance alive <3
ReplyDeleteBeing awkward types, we've always celebrated February 21st instead of the 14th, as it's the anniversary of the date that we got engaged. However our celebrations have been more muted in recent years as it's also now the anniversary of the date my Dad died.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a romantic, but since having my son I haven't had as much time as I would like to plan a perfect Valentines day.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I don't set out to plan a romantic day on Valentines for two reasons, 1. it's my birthday the day before so we tend to celebrate that more and 2. we try to be romantic all through the year instead.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot be bothered at all - save money and take a nice holiday each year.
ReplyDeletethis sounds great a cup of my own that no one else can use as it has my name on it
ReplyDeleteIm a romantic but my hubby to be isn't, so for the last 11 years I have had to come to terms with him not being, and not expect him to change lol. But we do try and spend time with each other as much as we can. @missjenny09
ReplyDeleteI have no idea my husband plans something lovely every year
ReplyDeletehubby is usually working
ReplyDeleteCan't really be bothered but will expect some chocolates at least!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't really bother with Valentines Day expect for a card. It is our anniversary a few days later on 19th, so we do something special then.

ReplyDeleteJust a normal day for me, nothing comes through the post not even bills usually :(
ReplyDeleteI don't have a romantic bone in my body

My new years resolution is to be more confident and to smile more.
ReplyDeleteZoe
zoe.may1@yahoo.co.uk

ReplyDeleteI am a romantic at heart, so like to plan a little something at home. I really don't like going out on Valentine's Day. It is all too commercialised.

ReplyDeleteDay 2 - No resolutions this year again, did my big one a few years back and gave up smoking, so pleased that, that one worked. Do not wish to push it with another one.
ReplyDeleteDay 1 - I used to be a romantic but I'm afraid it's worn off as the years have gone by. Having kids and no-one to babysit didn't help! As it's a Friday this year perhaps I should make the effort....
ReplyDeleteI am a romantic - unfortunately my other half isn't so it will probably be just another day maybe a bit of extra effort in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - I made a "kind of" new year's resolution this year - here it is (hopefully!) http://linkis.com/wp.me/1tAAO I'm hoping it'll be easier to keep than resolutions in years gone by which have just been forgotten in days!
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - I don't make New Year Resolutions. I tend to take the year as it comes.

ReplyDeleteYou don't need a special day to do something special for your man, everywhere inflates prices anyway. Valentines day is the same as any other for us as we always do special things for each other all the year around x
ReplyDeleteDay 1: Romantic at heart but still waiting for the special one to come along (and not Jose Mourinho). Might give my cat a hug on Valentine's Day though.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - Bog Child by Siobhan Dowd, gripping story, re-reading it again at the moment.
ReplyDeletemy fella gets paid the day after valentines day every year so we dont bother with it

ReplyDeleteDay 4: I wasn't very impressed with the TV over Christmas, always enjoy watching The Snowman.
ReplyDeleteDay 4: Downton Abbey was the one thing I was looking forward to at Christmas but I have to say I was disappointed with it this time....I did enjoy watching Mrs Brown's Boys though
ReplyDeleteDay 4: I was away for Christmas with only one English channel and my father in control of the remote! World News wasn't exactly by chosen Christmas viewing. I'd have watched some of the French channel. There seemed to be some good films on that.
ReplyDeleteDay 1: we plan something every year, it's my birthday in Jan so i get breakfast in bed and i return the favour in Feb :)
ReplyDeleteDay 2: (my fav) My new years resolution is to be more...more happy, loving, outgoing, opinionated, just more everything :)
ReplyDeleteDay 3: Storm Damages - Magda Alexander, it was like 50 shades of grey but less 'kinky' and more heated
ReplyDeleteI loved Mrs Brown's Boys
ReplyDeleteDay 3 Question.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying the books of Erin Kelly this year (The Poison Tree, The Sick Rose & The Burning Air)
And she has a new one due out in May 2014, I cant wait!!
dolly_daydream@aol.co.uk

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the usual Christmas movies and Eastenders :)
dolly_daydream@aol.co.uk
I can never be bothered with Valentines Day I would prefer a nice surprise another day just because they thought about me.
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - I don't really make resolutions but it makes me reflect on things a bit more. I would like to try to stop smoking. I am doing OK at cutting down so far. But I also want to help people and just try and be a good perso.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - I am a bit of a lord of the rings geek. I have been working through the Silmarillion and the unfinished tales. My partner thinks I am very sad but only in a silly way.
ReplyDeleteDay 4 - A tradition in my house is to watch the tailor of gloucester on an old video off the TV have done it for years .
ReplyDeleteANSWER 1 We may have a nicer bottle of wine than normal!!

ReplyDeleteDay 4 I can't remember what was on at Christmas, I can remember watching The Inbetweeners movie and my dad spat his brandy out!!
ReplyDeleteAre you a romantic at heart and plan to do something special on Valentine's day, or you cannot be bothered at all?
ReplyDelete--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's important to keep romance alive xx no idea what to do this year though lol xx
What did you most enjoy watching at Christmas? Loved Christmas movies my favs Elf and the holiday
ReplyDeleteWith two toddlers we aren't very romantic at the moment x
ReplyDeleteday 4 Worlds strongest man every year!
ReplyDeleteThe best book I read in 2013 was 50 shades of grey.
ReplyDeleteheather hgtempaddy@hotmail.com
Day 4 Gave the Open All Hours remake a go, was pleasantly surprised.
ReplyDeleteDay 5 : I try and avoid "diets" I prefer to change my eating so it can permanently be that way. That being said I am useless at that.
ReplyDeleteDay 5: I've never heard of the diet actually, but i can say that the clean eating diet is very effective.
ReplyDeleteDay 1: We're rubbish at romance on valentines day, but we do try to do little romantic gestures throughout the year :)
ReplyDeleteDay 2: My New Years Resolution is to learn to dance like they do on "Strictly" - I want to be the girl twirling around the room in high-heels and a pretty dress!
Day 3: My favourite book is Pride Prejudice and Zombies - it's got romance, heartbreak AND zombies... what more could you want from a book :)
Day 4: It has to be Downton Abbey or Doctor Who - I love both.
Day 5: I don't really diet, but I am trying to keep myself fit with lots of exercise and dancing.
Day 5 Question:
ReplyDeleteI have never tried the 5:2, have read a little about it and decided it was not for me - I am trying out detoxing at the minute, going well so far x
dolly_daydream@aol.co.uk
I've not tried the 5:2 diet, and won't be doing, as one of the ways I successfully manage my diabetes is by eating approximately the same balance of foods at the same times every day. I've lost weight successfully with Weightwatchers several times in the past, but my love of food means it never stays off for long
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - My only resolution - no resolutions, thougf I'd like to lose weight
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - For Whom The Bell tolls
ReplyDeleteDay 4 - I really didn't like much on TV at Christmas - sorry
ReplyDeleteDay 5 - No I haven't tried the 5:2 diet
ReplyDeleteDay 1...to drink more than 3 glasses of water a year!!! Ive been trying it since the 80's...but grapes tend to fall in all the glasses of water I try...fermented grapes!
ReplyDeleteOpps I should lay off the fermented water that was question 2!!
DeleteQuestion 1. After my boyfriend's romantic attempt last year I'm ready to do nothing this year. He asked me to lie in front of the fire, on cushions. Sat astride me, the wrong way.? I heard two clicks, just before the roar of the industrial belt sander as he proceeded to sand my feet once he knew I couldn't move! The screams were hidden by the roar of the sander!! That was a pedicure - I'm told. He's a keeper!!
ReplyDeleteDay 5: all set to try the 5:2 diet, like a coiled spring, until I heard on the news today is that it's been proven that the only thing you lose in the two days is water and that no fat is burned....spring uncoiled ! Ist glass of wine and it's back on!
ReplyDeleteDay 1 - We try to be romantic at another time of the year - get two for the price of one that way!
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - My resolution is to work less! Enjoy life more
Day 3 - Its been out for ages but the best book I read was Cloud Atlas after trying to avoid the film before reading the book. Shame the film didn't live up to it!
Day 4 - I always love Eastenders for a bit of Christmas drama - its the only time of the year I watch it!
Day 5 - I ignore any fad diets, but after times of excess just exercise a little more, and eat a little less... Does the trick!
Day 5. I don't really diet. I just try to generally eat healthily and get some exercise (even if it is only walking.)
ReplyDeleteday 5 - did the 5:2 diet for most of last yar and had great results especially as i could eat anything on the feast days!
ReplyDeleteDay 1 - I'm such a Romantic at heart but I often seem to split up with boyfriends just before Valentine's Day, and this is the case this year - what a ploker lol, so looks like I'll be dining for one again :(
ReplyDeleteNatalie Gillham
Day 2 - I've made the resolutions to give up smoking and lose weight and I have to do them this time or i cant have the op i need, i'm managing the diet ok-ish but everytime i think of not smoking it makes me want a cigarette
ReplyDeleteNatalie Gillham
Day 3: I've read so many good books this year that I can't choose or remember all their titles lol, but I know I enjoyed Angelas Ashes
ReplyDeleteNatalie Gillham
Day 4 - I always enjoy watching the kids christmas films best as they fill me with Christmas Spirit :)
ReplyDeleteNatalie Gillham
Day 5 - I haven't ever followed a specific diet, apart from trying to not eat completely as a teen lol. My advise to help you feel full on your fasting days Galina is to drink fizzy water, it definately helped me although you do need the toilet alot but I suppose even that's good as it's flushing out toxins :)
ReplyDeleteNatalie Gillham
Day 5 - Never ever followed a diet, just always ate properly and made sure I keep active.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - Kate Mosse CITADEL - absolutely the best read of the year!
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - to try and go to bed earlier and get a better night's rest!
ReplyDeleteDay 4 - I just love watching all the old Disney movies with my children - even though they are 16 and 14 now!!
ReplyDeleteDay 5 - tried the Tesco Diet and lost three stones. Basically it's all about cutting out the snacks and chocolates!!
ReplyDeleteDay 6 - no plans as of yet, but I love to try and get some sunshine in the Summer!!
ReplyDeleteDay 1: I always make my husband a heart shaped coffee cake, which is his favourite but we dont tend to do anything else as its all a bit commercialised
ReplyDeleteDay 2: I dont usually make resolutions but I have this year as I have extreme food phobias, so my resolution this year is to introduce 5 new foods into my diet
ReplyDeleteDay 3: Dan Browns Inferno, I really love his books
ReplyDeleteDay 4: I love watching 'The Santa Clause' film with my youngest, its her favourite and was her brothers favourite film when he was younger.
ReplyDeleteIm not allowed to diet as im already 2 stone underweight, but my mum has done most diets out there. Lighter Life gave her the best results but again she hasnt managed to keep the weight off and its very expensive program.
ReplyDeleteDay 6: we are currently trying to book out holiday for this year, we are determined to take our kids abroad as we haven't had a real holiday for over 3 years
ReplyDeleteday 1: very romantic at heart. Planning a surprise candle night dinner for my oh
ReplyDeleteday 4: doctor who
ReplyDeleteDay 5: No not tried any specific diet.
ReplyDeleteDay 6: We shall be holidaying as normal in this country as we have our own caravan. Anglesey is one of our favourites.
ReplyDeleteQuestion 1: I might be romantic but I cannot be bothered with the fuss of a specific day!
ReplyDeleteQuestion 2: I'm rubbish as New Years resolutions! My birthday is the beginning of January so anything sensible (like cutting down food/alcohol/chocolate/caffeine) is normally broken within 6 days! :D
ReplyDeleteDay 6. I really am hoping to get some sort of holiday this year. I am thinking of something along the lines of a city break to Paris. My partner doesn't like flying so it has to be somewhere accesible by boat.
ReplyDeleteQuestion. 5
ReplyDeleteI am not a dieter but my partner is. She swears by weight watchers as she says it is more a change of lifestyle. You can still eat but you learn to chose the healthy options and you can still treat yourself.
Day 1: I am a romantic but my husband isn't so my efforts aren't really appreciated :( He doesn't like flowers, chocolates or candlelight and dinners I make are eaten without any thought that goes into the effort of making them. I will just buy him a card this year although may attempt a special meal...
ReplyDeleteDay 2: My New Years Resolution is to get more exercise. I am doing really well with leaving the car at home and walking more. It is saving me petrol money too!
ReplyDeleteDay 3: My favourite book of 2013 was Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy by Helen Fielding. It was funny, a fantastic read and had a great ending :)
ReplyDeleteDay 4: I thought Christmas TV was very poor this year, we had more fun playing games but the children & I did enjoy The Snowman and also The Snowman and The Snowdog - I did cry when The Snowman melted at the end of both...
ReplyDeleteDay 5: I tried the 5:2 diet last year but lost absolutely nothing except my willpower to go on!! I don't usually follow set diets, just cut my portions, eat less chocolate and exercise a bit more - that works the best for me :)
ReplyDeleteDay1 yes love to make the effort on valentines, we have 3 young boys so dont get out much, we always make sure we get the kids in bed early, normaly have to bribe them, then hubby cooks a romantic meal and then we snuggle up watching a film
ReplyDeleteDay 6: Definitey will be holidaying in the UK this year. My little girl is only 2 and I'm not ready to battle airports & flight delays with her yet. I love Newquay & St. Ives if the weather is nice. We will most likely book last minute and take ourselves off for a week or 2 in Cornwall :)
ReplyDeleteDay 1 very romantic but nobody to be romantic with boo hoo.
ReplyDeleteDay 5 I try diets but I like food too much, massive exercise works best for me but can't be bothered at the mo lol.
ReplyDeleteDay 6: I'm planning on staying home due to finances
ReplyDeleteDay 1, Valentins Smakentines, all a bunch of poop :p
ReplyDeleteDay 6 - We're going to Somerset
ReplyDeleteDay 6 - We hope to go walking on the Kent Coast
ReplyDeleteDay 6 - I'm going to go to an Indian wedding in France!
ReplyDeleteDay One. Me and the hubby are die hard romantics,
ReplyDeleteWe limit spending to only £3.00
I don't ever care what he buys me,
I'm happy as long as he is around!
Day Two
ReplyDeleteMy New Years resolution
Is to find the solution
to try to lose weight,
oh that would be great
to fit into a nice dress
but I do confess
And will tell you the truth
I have a sweet tooth,
so Instead I won't fear,
I'll just lose weight NEXT year! ;-)
Well Done. Lovely poem. So truthful for so many of us.
DeleteRachel Craig
The best book I have read
ReplyDeletethat I always take to bed

Its scary, a thriller

ReplyDeleteDay Four!
ReplyDeleteAt Christmas its true, we watched Dr Who
Its my sons fave, (only if he behaves!)
We watched it together, wish it was on forever,
And we will all miss, the fantastic Matt Smith!
Ps my book comment should have said day 3! xxxx
day 6 really hoping to go abroad but its just if we can afford it :(
ReplyDeleteDay 1 - Hopefully my fiancée would think I am romantic - I proposed after taking her out for a Valentine's night in London! This year I'm thinking I'll cook the meal she has liked the most of my concoctions from the past 12 months :-)
ReplyDeleteFrom James - Twitter ID @bbjames69
Day 6 - Staycation again this year, want to try and do Scotland in Spring.
ReplyDeleteday 6 - we'll be going abroad to visit family, but I think our main holiday will be a visit to the Lake District
ReplyDeleteDay 1 - I think its the small things that count on Valentines Day, spending quality time with my other half like snuggling up on the sofa together watching a dvd is more important than presents.
ReplyDeleteDay 2 - I always make new years resolutions but I try to keep them simple & manageable. This year mines are to drink more water to help my skin and to be bold and wear red lipstick!
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - Best Book: The Darcys of Pemberley: The Continuing Story of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (my fav book of all time is Pride & Prejudice)
ReplyDeleteDay 4 - most enjoyed watching Downton Abbey, Doctor Who and lots of made for TV Christmas movies
ReplyDeleteDay 5 - never tired the 5:2 diet. I did try to follow Scottish Slimmers but I find just making more healthy food choices and keeping fit works for me
ReplyDeleteDay 6 - Got to give up my holiday for the next 2 year :( Saving for my wedding so looking forward to having an amazing honeymoon to make up for it!
ReplyDeleteGetting into natural beauty product so would love to win some of those & red lipstick to help me achieve my new years resolution to be bold & brave and wear red lippie :)
ReplyDeleteDay 7 - I do enter some competitions, my dream prize would be a Vtech innotab as that's what my little girl wants :)
ReplyDeleteDay 7: On my wish list is an iPad and a new cooker (I was lucky enough to win the last one 16/17 years ago)
ReplyDeleteDay 7 - my daughter is a runner and has a new baby, so I'd love to win her one of those super-duper running buggies. Sadly I've not seen any offered as prizes. My personal dream prize would be one of the amazing goody bags that are given out at award ceremonies like the Oscars.
ReplyDeleteDay 7 - I don't really have a wishlist just pretty things are nice.

Day 2 :- I sometimes make a New Year Resolution. Not a great fan, as tend to find busy lifestyle and circumstances can get in the way of Resolution. This year I aim to eat healthily, as / when possible. I think years of experience is the reason for the latter part of Resolution. Circumstances change / vary etc.

Day 5 :- I just heard of the diet last night from someone who is presently doing the diet. Her aim is to loose the weight that she put on over Christmas. She looked /appeared a healthy weight / size. I wonder how the fast days affect /effect work. As she is employed. Some jobs / employment is more intensive than others :- Whether physically, mentally, emotionally etc, etc.

Day 6 :- No I haven't booked or planned a holiday for 2014. Best Wishes with yours. I believe Cornwall is popular and said to be lovely. I hope to have a holiday this year, feel I could benefit from one. Don't expect to go abroad. There are nice places in Britain for holidays.
