Ravensburger Lighthouse - Night Edition 3d puzzle
Our collection of Ravensburger 3d puzzles has a new addition of a striking Lighthouse - Night Edition.
We have about seven or eight 3d puzzles of famous buildings and landmarks on the bookshelves in the sitting room and in one of bedrooms, and our friends often comment on how eye-catching they are.
Ravensburger Lighthouse - Night Edition 3d Puzzle is created, using the latest 3d puzzle technology. This model is one of the easier Ravensburger 3d puzzles. The age group is 10-99. My 6-year-old and I completed it together in one sitting, as it is pretty straightforward.
It has a solid base, a striking design and a light beacon created by LED technology.
Puzzle pieces are unique in shape and are easy to slot together. Each piece has a number on the back and a little arrow pointing in the direction of where the next piece should go.
The puzzle itself consists of 216 high quality plastic pieces plus three additional building props - a plastic base which imitates the rock with steps going up to the entrance door, a middle section and a top tower with the beacon.
You will need 3 AA batteries for the light to work, and there is a switch on the side of the power.
The top tower doesn't rotate but as the light pulsates, it creates an illusion of a rotating beam.
As always, when working on 3d puzzles, we have first cleared enough space to put the puzzle pieces in units of ten - then it's much easier to assemble it when all the pieces are already found.
If you find this job too easy, you can always assemble your puzzle by looking at the coloured side and design. That would be more tricky and time-consuming.
While working on the lighthouse, Eddie and I were talking about the importance of lighthouses to bring the ships to safety. I also told him about the pirates who used to lure the ships on the rocks in the shallowe waters where it would be easy for them to attack and loot.
It is a beautiful puzzle, with a really striking design.
If there is a jigsaw puzzle lover in your family, this puzzle will make a splendid Christmas gift.
Disclosure: I received the 3d puzzle for the purposes of testing and reviewing. All opinions are mine.
